About This Dog for Adoption
Bowen's ideal home
Meet Bowen, a beautiful Spaniel cross Patterdale who is a puppy at heart! Bowen is a lovely boy, who is happy to greet everyone he meets with a happy waggy tail. He's found himself with us for no fault of his own and is on the search for his forever family. He's 7 years old, but don't let that fool you as he truly believes age is just a number! He loves nothing more than being out and about exploring, sniffing and playing! He'd love to find an active and fun loving home with adopters who enjoys adventures just as much as he does! Bowen is friendly with other dogs and we think he could happily share his new home with another resident dog following a meeting here at the centre. He isn't a big fan of cats, so isn't suitable to live with one. He's housetrained and quite happy spending a few hours home alone, providing he has a comfy spot for a snooze (he loves an armchair to relax on)! Bowen has been around children previously, however he can be quite bouncy at times, so would be best suited to primary school aged children who are confident around excitable dogs.
Could you be Bowen's perfect match?
Bowen is a lovely boy, who has lots of love to give. He'll love nothing more than finding an active family to share lots of fun with! This dog is currently being rehomed under our Home Stay scheme. Under this scheme, the dog stays with their current owner until the point of adoption, when the ownership transfers briefly to Dogs Trust and then to the new adopters. The benefits of Home Stay for a dog are that it minimises disruption and prevents the dog having to come into kennels, however there is the potential the owner may pull out of the scheme prior to adoption. We understand the upset this may cause to potential adopters, and we work closely with the owners to minimised the likelihood of this. However, it remains a possibility, and should this occur, Dogs Trust will prioritise finding adopters an alternative dog.
