About This Dog for Adoption

Badger's ideal home

Badger is a handsome 5 year old Crossbreed who is looking for his forever home with his best friend Rosie. His favourite things include cheese and doggy sausages and enjoys nothing more than a game of fetch with a soft squeaky toy. Badger is an active lad who loves adventures, exploring and sniffing out mischief in the woods. He'd love a home with children 10+ as he can be quite bouncy and excitable at times. Rosie and Badger could share their new home with another dog following a meeting here at the centre. Badger is housetrained and quite happy being left home alone for a working day however this was with another dog for company, so we recommend this is gradually built up again as they settle into her their new home.

Could you be Badger's perfect match?

If you're looking for love, affection and adventure then these two could be your paw-fect match! This dog is currently being rehomed under our Homestay scheme. Under this scheme, the dog stays with their current owner until the point of adoption, when ownership transfers briefly to Dogs Trust and then to the new adopters. The benefits of Homestay for a dog are that it minimises disruption and prevents the dog having to come into kennels, however there is the potential the owner may pull out of the scheme prior to adoption. We understand the upset this may cause to potential adopters, and we work closely with owners to minimise the likelihood of this. However, it remains a possibility, and should this occur, Dogs Trust will prioritise finding adopters an alternative suitable dog.
