About This Dog for Adoption

Primrose's ideal home

Primrose is a gorgeous young Springer Spaniel with lots of energy and huge amounts of love to give. She hasn’t yet experienced all the wonder the world has to offer and is hoping to find patient adopters who could gradually introduce her to new experiences, while keeping everything positive. Due to a lack of information on Primrose’s history with children, we feel she would best be suited to a home with secondary school aged children. However, as she is such a sweet and friendly lady, we may consider a slight age drop to the right home and if introductions go well at our rehoming centre. We have tested Primrose with other canines indoors, and she seems to get on just fine, so could possibly share her home with a well-matched dog. She doesn’t seem to be fully housetrained, but has shown potential in building this up quickly, and a garden of her own is essential to support this.

Could you be Primrose's perfect match?

Primrose has already shown lots of potential and growth since her arrival in our care, so she settles into her new routine, we imagine her confidence will continue to blossom. When she reaches full maturity, Primrose is going to be a very active pooch, so she’ll need a family who can match her energy levels and offer her the exercise and stimulation she needs. Her favourite game is fetch, and she will play for hours if you let her, but being a young dog, she will benefit from someone who knows when to give her a rest or engaged in other games or activities that get her brain working too! Teaching her scent-work or agility training is bound to get her tail wagging.

Springer Spaniel Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Springer Spaniel.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Springer Spaniel Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
