About This Dog for Adoption

Freddie's ideal home

This is Freddie the English Springer Spaniel. He is an active eleven-years-old looking for a loving home. Freddie can share his home with children as young as eleven. He has no history with cats or small furries. He has been fine walking around cows on his lead and has no history with sheep or horses. He would be best suited as the only dog in the home as he tends to just ignore them. Freddie is housetrained and he travels well in the car. He is friendly around visitors and could cope with a busy home environment. He is happy to be left alone at home for a few hours at a time.

Could you be Freddie's perfect match?

Freddie is a sweet lad. Do not be fooled by his age; like a typical Spaniel, he is still full of energy. Freddie loves to go swimming, play with his toys, and go for long walks. His ideal walk would have to include some water like the sea or a safe river – somewhere he can play fetch in water. He is a keen walker and strong on his lead which is something to bear in mind when applying to adopt Freddie. He is motivated by food, and he knows a sit, and paw, and his recall for a nice, tasty treat reward of course! He doesn’t want much from other dogs and will just ignore them and do his own thing. He enjoys playing with a ball and he likes a game of tug. Freddie adores company, to relax right next you, he likes a gentle fuss, he appreciates his own space at times, and when he has built up a loving bond he likes to snuggle on the sofa.
