Brooke's ideal home

If you are after a playful pup who lives for fun and toys, then say hi to Brooke! She is a 1-year-old Crossbreed full of bounce and joy, and is looking for an active home where she can enjoy regular playtime, plenty of stimulation and ongoing training. She can live with children aged 10 and over, so long as the adults in the home are happy to help manage her excitement and guide gentle interactions—particularly around toys, which are Brooke’s pride and joy.
She will need to be the only dog in the home, but could enjoy calm dog friends on walks. Brooke has shown a little sensitivity around her favourite items, so needs a family who are confident and comfortable with helping her make good choices and swapping toys positively. She is not suitable to live with cats or small furries, and must be muzzled for vet handling or any form of restraint. As we have no history of how she copes with being left, her alone time will need to be built up very gradually, once she is settled in her new home.

Brooke is an affectionate, fun-loving young girl with a real zest for life and a big heart to match. She adores toys – from chasing and retrieving to placing them in your lap to ask for another round – and her happy, wiggly personality makes her a joy to be around. She is vocal and enthusiastic during play, and is great at trading for treats or swapping with a different toy when needed. She is housetrained, knows a few basic commands, and is very friendly when meeting new people, although she can be a little appeasing in more formal situations.
Although cuddles and fuss are always welcome, her true love is playtime – so a home with plenty of enrichment, both mental and physical, is a must. Brooke has been a bit worried by restraint and handling at the vets, and moving forward will wear a muzzle for any close handling, which she is already getting used to. She was initially unsure about grooming tools but quickly tried to turn brushing into another game!
With the right support, structure and lots of toys to chase, Brooke will be a hugely rewarding and entertaining addition to a family who can keep up with her playful spirit and help her grow into a confident, happy companion.
