About This Dog for Adoption

Domino's ideal home

Domino is an 11-year-old Collie cross with a gentle soul and a playful streak. He’s looking for a loving home where he can enjoy a slower pace of life, regular walks, and a good snuggle with his favourite people. Domino would love a secure, private garden where he can potter about and enjoy some fresh air. He’s currently spending time in a foster home, where he’s shown himself to be a relaxed and easy-going companion. Domino could live with calm, dog-savvy children aged 8 and over, and he may be able to share his home with a quiet, well-mannered dog after successful introductions. He’s an ideal match for first-time owners looking for a friendly, low-key companion who enjoys being part of everyday life. While he does enjoy the company of his people, Domino is happy to relax on his own when needed, especially with a soft toy or a tasty treat to keep him occupied.

Could you be Domino's perfect match?

Domino is a sweet, snuggly lad who thrives on companionship and routine. He enjoys following his people around the house, and while he loves attention, he’s also happy to entertain himself when you're busy. He gets especially excited when it’s time for a walk - he’ll even let out a happy little howl to show his enthusiasm! Out and about, Domino walks nicely on the lead and likes the opportunity to sniff and explore. Domino has met a range of people, including visitors to the home and people on walks, and he’s been friendly and well-mannered with everyone he’s met. He also enjoys a gentle brush and a game of tug-of-war, especially if there’s a soft toy involved. Domino does show interest in other dogs out and about and may be keen to say hello, but he responds well to redirection and could enjoy calm social walks with the right canine companions. Domino does have some ongoing dental disease and is scheduled for a dental procedure soon to help keep him comfortable and healthy. This will be discussed in more detail with successful applicants. If you're looking for a loyal, gentle, and snuggly friend to share your days with, Domino might just be your perfect match. He’s ready to settle into a home of his own and share all the quiet joys of life with a family who’ll love him as much as he loves them. AWE licence number 176240 by West Lothian Council.

Springer Spaniel Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Springer Spaniel.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Springer Spaniel Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
