Arlo's ideal home

Meet handsome boy Arlo! He is a 4 year old English Springer Spaniel who has bundles of energy. He is looking for an active home where the youngest people in the house are at least 14 years old, and his ideal owners would have some knowledge of resource guarding. Arlo is also very clever and thoroughly enjoys learning, especially when a treat or two is involved. Arlo struggles with his confidence, and would like any potential adopters to be willing to do some training with him to build his confidence, especially around people. Arlo would like to be the only pet in the home, but could possibly have some calm doggy friends to walk with. Arlo does not like being left and would also like someone at home all the time until he is fully settled. In the future, his leaving hours could possibly be gradually built up to 1-2 hours. If you rent your property, please ensure you have written permission from your landlord before applying for a dog.

Arlo is a fabulous boy who can be quite worried when meeting new people, but once he gets to know you, he enjoys a short fuss. Arlo absolutely loves going for long walks, and exploring new sights and smells. Adopters have to be mindful that he can be very strong on the lead when there is an exciting scent to follow. Arlo also adores playing with toys and will happily spend lots of time play by himself in the garden. He also enjoys a game of fetch when one ball is exchanged for another. Ideally, Arlo would like a secure garden of his own to play in. Please be aware potential adopters must be happy to come to the centre to meet Arlo a few times, to help build a bond with him.
