About Us
I’d like to share about the journey Dreamherts go on with our puppies to show people what standard they should look for.
Raising Dreamherts Puppies – The Journey Begins! 🐾
A well-bred puppy is more than just good genetics—it’s about how they are raised from day one. The experiences they have in these first few weeks shape their confidence, resilience, and ability to cope with the world around them. That’s why we put so much thought and care into their early development.
Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) – Why It Matters
From *days 3-16*, We carry out Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) with each puppy. This involves carefully introducing gentle stressors—such as handling in different positions, mild temperature changes, and light tactile stimulation. These small, controlled challenges have been proven to:
1) Introduces puppies to mild stresses in a controlled way
2) Improves stress responses in later life.
3) Stimulates the neurological system
4) Increase overall confidence and adaptability
5) Improves their growth, immune and cardiovascular systems
Alongside ENS, these puppies will be introduced to various textures, small obstacles, and handling exercises, setting them up for life as confident and well-adjusted dogs.
Early Scent introduction (ESI) – Why it matters
From also from days 3-16 at a different time to above as to not overload the puppies we carry out Early Scent introduction (ESI) with each puppy. This involves using a different natural scent daily, from our home and garden.
1) Introduces puppies to new scent in a controlled way
2) Improves scenting ability in later life
3) Improves confidence and stability as adults
4) Dogs that are encouraged to scent have fewer behavioural issues
What to Look for in a Quality Breeder
If you're searching for a puppy, always look for a breeder who goes beyond just the basics. Responsible breeding isn’t just about producing puppies—it’s about giving them the very best start in life. Health testing, proper socialization, and careful early experiences all make a huge difference in how a puppy develops.
