About This Dog for Adoption
Scramble's ideal home
Meet Scramble, an 8-month old Crossbreed looking for her perfect home. Beautiful Scramble is a very worried girl, who can take a long time to trust people. Only now, after 2 weeks in her kennel, has she began asking for fuss from her handlers. Any potential adopters will need to be aware that she will need patience, time and understanding. Any children would ideally be older secondary school aged. Scramble would be able to live with a resident dog in the home to help her build confidence, however it would need to be a polite, calm dog.
Scramble has missed out on a lot of basic skills, so she is still learning how to walk on a lead. She will need a gentle, kind family that are willing to put in some work and help build her confidence in many areas.
Scramble benefits from being around her brothers and sisters, so would really like to go home with one of them. She seems interested in other dogs but she is very underconfident, so will need some socialisation moving forward.
Scramble is not house-trained, so this will need some work in the new environment. She is incredibly foodie, though, so we think she'll pick up any training very quickly!
Scramble is fearful of formal handling, so may need muzzling for the vets as a precaution, however, she is just very worried and may benefit from getting to know her future vet to alleviate any worries.
Scramble will need multiple meets to feel comfortable with a potential adopter, so any potential adopters will need to be patient with her and willing to give her time to come around at her own pace. She is interested in toys, and we can't wait to see her flourishing in her forever home, playing with her toys as a confident girl!
Could you be Scramble's perfect match?
Scramble is in need of a quiet home, where there isn't too much coming and going at first. She is a very worried girl, and will need time and patience. She is avoidant of new people at first and will take some time to come around, so owners that are willing to take their time would be perfect.
Understanding owners will be important, as she will need lots of support with training and also with socialisation. She will be a slow burner, but a very rewarding lady to have join the family.
She hasn't been left before, so she would need time left alone built up slowly over time. She is a mix of very intelligent breeds, so we can imagine she'll be such a fun project for someone once she has become the confident lady we know she can be.
She will be high energy, so an active home would be best.
