About This Dog for Adoption

Max's ideal home

Max can live with a polite dog and children around the age of 10. We know he has lived outside most of his life and so may need letting out more regularly to toilet whilst he gets used to being inside.

Could you be Max's perfect match?

Max is a gentle boy who wags his tail so hard at us that his whole body vibrates! He hasn't seen much of the world having been kept in a garden and utility room most of his life, so he's making up for it now by wanting to explore every inch of everywhere. He hasn't been walked much but is doing well, although he's quite strong when he sets his mind on going somewhere. Max is eight years old but still very active and he just loves to play with toys. He is a master of "fetch" and his carers are teaching him a "drop" cue also. Max is very keen to do things with people and he's just loving the attention he's getting. He's such an amiable boy and gets along well with other dogs. He will walk with just about anyone but would be well matched off lead with a well mannered dog that was happy to do its own thing and not pester him. Max deserves the second half of his life to be filled with new experiences at the heart of a loving family.

Springer Spaniel Puppy Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Springer Spaniel.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Springer Spaniel Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
